50 Shades?

I've ticked off 4 stories for the new boss and I'm currently writing a script for a Dominatrix, which has proved interesting and got me thinking...

As a reader I love BDSM themed erotica and have done for a few years.  So when  50 shades was released and suddenly all my straight laced, vanilla friends were loving it, I thought 'wow, this has got to be a good thing right?'  I don't know about anyone else, but I was bitterly disappointed. 

I know, that's like the equivalent of saying I don't find Edward or Jacob fit to a Twihard for all you 50 Shades fans, but I can't help feeling bemused by the phenomenon it's become. 

I haven't even completed my first novel yet, so I wouldn't even attempt to pick at the authors story telling ability.  For me it was the BDSM aspect that just felt all wrong.  Submission is a personal thing and everyone's interpretation of BDSM is different.  It was never going to please everyone.  I don't know about anyone else, but I was particularly uncomfortable with the constant implication that Grey was a Dominant due to abuse as a child.

My excitement at having the world of BDSM brought to the masses was overshadowed by the frustration of it being misconceived, yet again.

Rant over! Back to my 'sniveling worms'........

Insomnia

I had a long. exciting chat with my new boss this morning, just a few more minor details to sort out and I can get to the writing! :-D

After a hectic afternoon christmas shopping and a nice meal out (I say meal, because it sounds classier than KFC), all the excitement of the weekend caught up with me and I took a power nap.  Which lead to my being unable to sleep and as usual a racing mind, so I thought I'd knock a quick one out......a story that is for all you naughty minded folk ;-)

Research done.....

I'd love to leave you all with the impression I've been procrastinating and watching porn all day, but alas, t'was not to be. Sundays are all about getting the house back in order and the minions prepared for school.

I'll be posting the next installment of Kate and Vic's story in the next couple of days, where Craig joins the fray ;-) This got me to thinking....I haven't got as far as to give the story a title! 

As the story is primarily based around a series of weekend trysts, where Kate and Vic explore their sexuality and the boundaries of their relationship, I've decided to go with Weekend Shenanigans. Not particularly sexy I know, but it's not going to print and I adore the word shenanigans :-D

PORN: IT'S NOT FOR GIRLS?

My name is Keeley Jones, I'm a woman and I love porn. Wow, that was  liberating! 

Ok, so I know a few women that openly admit to indulging now and again.  I also know a few that go through the motions of watching on occasion with their partners, but wouldn't know a bukkake if it hit them in the face (sorry, I couldn't resist). Undoubtedly I probably know a lot of women that would just never admit to it, which is perfectly acceptable, it's a private matter and more often than not it's the illicit edge to pornography that makes it so exciting.

Statistically 30% of online traffic to porn sites is made up of women and it's on the rise.  Does that surprise anyone?  I automatically raised that in my mind by at least 5% for the women who fibbed about it on whatever survey came up with those stats.  

Don't get me wrong I'm no addict, I'm sure for a select few, be it guy or girl, the addictive nature of porn has become a problem for them.  I'd say I'm like most guys, in the sense I go through stages, you can become desensitised after a while, so it's always good to take a break.  I'm also in the position that due to my line of work, it's almost a necessity, you know for research purposes ;-)

It surprises me that it still seems to be a taboo subject for a lot of people. And quite honestly irritates me that so much of the industry is geared towards men alone. I'd love to know peoples thoughts on this, please feel free to leave a comment below. On that note I'm off to do some research.....

Teaser!!

Day 2 of my plan to take over the literary world, one kinky story at a time....were put on hold briefly whilst I dragged myself out of bed at stupid O'Clock this morning to watch football (from the comfort of my car) and get my chores done, like the good housewife I am *coughs*

Today I thought I'd treat you all to a sample of  the story I used as my 'audition piece' and  got me my first paid job as a writer.  I wrote this a few months back for a friend and it's the start of  a series of short stories involving the two main characters.

My First Blog!!

Ok, so I'll start by saying I'm new to the world of blogging (if it wasn't totally obvious already), however today I got my first paid gig as an erotic writer (go me) and I wanted to share it with the world!!
